THE GREAT BONFI-WHO?
The Great Bonfire is an original five-piece band built by longtime friends from the suburbs of Philadelphia. Born in the spirit of their namesake, The Great Bonfire is a gathering and melding of rock, americana, bluegrass, funk, folk, and psychedelia. Each performance is a call back to the tradition of sharing stories, community, goodwill, good energy, and most importantly good music while circled around the dancing flames. Their vocally-driven repertoire features haunting and reflective poetry set against an ever-shifting sea of diverse instrumentation–songs that feel just as at home when plunked on a lone wistful banjo as they do while swimming in a full-on psychedelic electric jam. Currently, the Great Bonfire is cooking up a brand new original EP, Tell me lies, tell me stories (streaming everywhere on 4/4/25), as a follow-up to their debut full-length album, A Beautiful Fever, and its fiery follow-up, Our Kind's Still Good.
